Partner Yoga

 

Yoga asanas at twice the fun! We have incorporated traditional Yoga asanas into partner training with each pose presented in different levels to accommodate multi-level participants.

Yoga may be seen as a prolific form of proprioceptive exercise which affects unity, coordination and control of the human body. “It is actually a body/mind dialogue that is based on the implicit axiom that if the mind can influence the body (psychosomatics) then the converse is true – the body influences the mind (somatophysics)” (Odom, RM. p 468. Fitness Theory & Practice. 2002). In Partner Yoga, the body/mind dialogue is taken to a higher level. You (and your partner) work on your kinesthetic awareness, while gently stretching to Yoga’s asanas to lubricate your joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and body parts. These are the same asanas that help tone your nervous system, improve circulation, release tension and increase flexibility. Partner Yoga is designed for partners regardless of age, gender, health, and fitness level. Partner Yoga, it is asanas with the power of two.
