Core Conditioning

The core muscles of the trunk are your powerhouse for most activities. They serve as stabilizers for activities of daily living as well as athletic performance.

Core conditioning with bodyweight exercises, the stability and mobility ball, together with medicine balls will result in improved posture, relief from back pain, better function in activities of daily living, improving functional and static balance for older adults and enhanced athletic performance. Counter-poses and stretches are incorporated as well to create a balance between strength and flexibility of anterior and posterior muscles preventing muscular imbalance – a common problem resulting in chronic and acute musculoskeletal injuries. Although the core muscles are the focus of the workout, upper and lower extremities are utilized as well to target the core.
